Cherry Pinapple French Clafoutis

Sunday, July 27, 2014

Clafoutis or clafouti is a dessert that I recently fell for last year in Paris in a random boulangerie around Porte Maillot where I tasted it without having any idea what it was. I asked the baker about it because... It was simply just a fruity fresh mixture that was somewhere between a cake, custard and a pancake all at the same time. Yes, exactly, that's why today I'll be posting it's extremely easy recipe.

Whole Wheat Irish Soda Bread (No rise/No yeast bread)

Monday, July 14, 2014

People always freak out when it comes to kneading dough, activating yeast and bread in general. I say "NO, don't freak out!", baking is really easy and entertaining once you practice it.

I personally wasn't into baking bread but there was that one day I didn't want to go to the bakery and remembered that time I was at the UK and tasted a kind of bread.. It was delicious, a bit fluffy yet dense, flavorful and so filling. I called for the baker and asked him "What's the secret?" he replied saying "No yeast/quick bread." and left. I started working around the idea and came out with this till I found out its origins and that it already has a name... "Irish Soda Bread". Then, I was dieting so I adjusted my ingredients to whole wheat ingredients.

Tenderloin Steak with Baked Potatoes w/Low Fat Yogurt Dressing

Saturday, July 12, 2014

As complex as it may sound, but this is one of the easiest recipes that you can do when it comes to quick gatherings and fancy main dishes!

I am personally a carnivore and beef is my thing… while eating lots of beef, I had to work on different recipes for a change and as we all know, potatoes (Mashed, wedges, whole baked potatoes) go best with steaks.

Best thing about tenderloin steaks is that they are extremely tender, not chewy, absorb the flavors quickly and extremely low in fat and high in protein to those who are trying to monitor their food and macronutrients intake. Now let's try the easiest/basic recipe.
