Chicken Thai Noodles (Sweet & Chili)

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Thai and Asian foods always sound complicated and the fusion of the taste may look mysterious. However, the Asian cuisine is generally easy and cooking its food is generally REALLY Easy. All you need to know is to know the sauces and spices that you're going to use. Today, we're going to make our Chicken Thai Noodles... this recipe is sweet & chili!

*Your ingredients should have:

-500g chicken breast cut into cubes
-3/4 pack of egg noodles

Marinade:
1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
5 tbsp of honey or brown sugar
3 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
3 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp ginger powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder or chili sauce

NB:It may seem that the marinade is a lot but you will actually need it for the sauce

Method:
- Mix all marinade ingredients and toss your chicken cubes in it, make sure it's well coated then store it in the fridge for 30 mins.

- Heat your wok or pan, drizzle a tbsp of olive oil and put your chicken ingredients in with all the marinade... don't panic the mixture is a lot and will release a lot of water. Let your chicken cook and eventually the sauce will reduce and will become sticky and caramalized. (Don't let it dry much).

-Half way, bring salted water to a boil then put your noodles in just for 7-8 minutes till Al Dente, rinse it and add it to the wok over the chicken. Add more soy sauce and chili sauce to the mixture to enrich the flavors and let it incorporate together.
